Rules

One link. The price falls until someone takes it. Monday it resets. That is the whole game, and these are the details behind it.

One link, one week

There is exactly one promoted link on droptick.io, and it is sold once a week. It goes live the moment your payment clears and runs until the next Monday 08:00 Berlin time, when the slot resets. Buy on Monday and you get a week; buy on Saturday and you get two days — for a much lower price. There is no second position, no renewal and no carry-over: Monday morning, whatever was there is gone.

The price

Every Monday 08:00 Berlin time the price opens at €10,000. From then on it falls, every hour, by amounts that are not the same twice, along a curve that is not published — and that is different every week. Whoever completes payment first pays the price at that moment. There is no bidding, no account, and no auction to lose.

The price is not shown on the page. It is shown to you, once, after you have pasted the link you want to put in the slot — and then not again for 30 minutes. There is a minimum, and it is not published either. This is not coyness: if you could watch the curve, waiting would carry no risk, and the only sensible move would be to wait. Not knowing is what makes the decision a decision.

If two people pay at once

The slot is locked the moment a checkout opens, so this is rare. If it happens anyway, the first completed payment wins and the second is refunded in full, immediately and without argument.

What you get

• Your name, icon, description and link as the only link on the front page, from payment until Monday 08:00 Berlin time.
• A public click count on your link, one per visitor per day.
• An invoice, issued at checkout.
• The price you paid, shown publicly next to your link.

That last one is unusual, and deliberate. An advertisement that hides what it cost reads like an editorial pick, and this site must never read like one. Showing the price is how the ad stays unmistakably an ad.

What we can take down

Your link goes live automatically, so we look at it afterwards. We will not run adult content, gambling, anything unlawful, deceptive claims, or links impersonating someone else. If we take yours down, the unused part of your time is refunded — we do not keep the money and argue about taste.

Fine print that matters

• Sold to businesses only. No VAT is charged (small-business rule, §19 UStG). The price you are shown is the price on the invoice — nothing is added at checkout.
• The link is labelled “Sponsored”. There is no ranking on this site for it to influence.
• Categories are the label you pick for your link. They do not change the price, the position or the week.
